OpenRouter

Connect OpenRouter to let agents generate images and videos for your projects. Generation runs on your team’s own OpenRouter account, and OpenRouter bills the usage directly — Frontend doesn’t charge credits.

Connect

Section titled “Connect”
  1. Open Integrations in the project’s sidebar and choose OpenRouter (or go to Team → Integrations).
  2. Click Connect OpenRouter and approve the connection in OpenRouter.

OpenRouter is connected to the team, so every project in it can use the account.

Use it with agents

With OpenRouter connected, the Frontend MCP server’s generation tools work in every project:

  • generate_image — generate or edit images from a prompt, optionally with reference images
  • generate_video and check_video — generate a video, then collect it when it’s ready

Results are saved to the project’s media library and returned as public URLs the agent can use in the app:

Generate a hero image of a sunlit studio desk in our brand colors and use it on the homepage.

Disconnect

Section titled “Disconnect”

Click Disconnect on the integration’s page. Image and video generation stops for every project in the team until you connect again.
