Custom Domains
While every published project receives a default Vercel domain, you can also assign your own custom domain for a more professional presentation.
Setting Up a Custom Domain
Section titled “Setting Up a Custom Domain”- Open your project in Frontend
- Navigate to Custom Domains below the Code tab
- Enter your domain name (e.g.,
yourbrand.comorshop.yourbrand.com) - Follow the provided instructions to verify domain ownership
DNS Configuration
Section titled “DNS Configuration”After adding your custom domain, Frontend will display both an A record and a CNAME record. You’ll need to add the appropriate DNS record with your domain name provider:
For Top-Level Domains (e.g., yourbrand.com)
Section titled “For Top-Level Domains (e.g., yourbrand.com)”Add an A record pointing to the IP address shown in the Custom Domains tab.
For Subdomains (e.g., www.yourbrand.com, shop.yourbrand.com)
Section titled “For Subdomains (e.g., www.yourbrand.com, shop.yourbrand.com)”Add a CNAME record pointing to the value shown in the Custom Domains tab.
Verification
Section titled “Verification”- Add the appropriate DNS record with your domain name provider
- Allow time for DNS propagation (typically 24-48 hours)
- Once verified, your site will be accessible via your custom domain
Frontend will automatically handle SSL certificate provisioning for your custom domain, ensuring secure HTTPS connections for all visitors.
