Products
Once Stripe is enabled for your account, you can create and manage products for your e-commerce storefront. Frontend supports both single-purchase digital products and subscription-based offerings.
Creating Products
Section titled “Creating Products”To create a product, you’ll need to provide the following information:
Product Details
Section titled “Product Details”- Name: The title of your product as it appears to customers
- Description: Detailed information about what the product includes and its benefits
- Price: The cost of the product in your chosen currency
- Currency: Choose from USD, EUR, CAD, or AUD
- Images: Upload up to 8 images to showcase your product
Product Type
Section titled “Product Type”Products can be configured as either:
- Single Purchase: One-time payment for the product
- Monthly Subscription: Recurring monthly payments for ongoing access
When creating a subscription product, customers will be automatically billed each month until they cancel.
Managing Product Images
Section titled “Managing Product Images”Each product supports up to 8 images to help showcase what you’re offering:
- Upload high-quality images that represent your product
- Add multiple images to show different aspects or features
- Images appear in your storefront’s product listings and detail pages
- The first image serves as the primary product image
Product Visibility
Section titled “Product Visibility”Products have two visibility states:
- Active: The product is visible and available for purchase on your website
- Inactive: The product is hidden from your storefront and unavailable for purchase
Only active products will appear on your website. This allows you to:
- Prepare products before launching them
- Temporarily disable products without deleting them
- Manage seasonal or limited-time offerings
- Test products before making them public
Supported Product Types
Section titled “Supported Product Types”Frontend’s product system is designed for digital products and services:
- Digital Downloads: E-books, software, templates, graphics, music, or videos
- Online Courses: Educational content with subscription or one-time access
- Memberships: Access to exclusive content, communities, or resources
- Services: Consulting sessions, coaching packages, or professional services
- SaaS Access: Subscription-based access to web applications
- Content Subscriptions: Monthly access to premium articles, newsletters, or media
Best Practices
Section titled “Best Practices”When creating products, consider these recommendations:
- Write clear, compelling descriptions that explain the value customers will receive
- Use high-quality images that accurately represent your offering
- Set competitive pricing based on the value provided
- Clearly indicate whether a product is a subscription or one-time purchase
- Keep inactive products organized for future use
- Test the checkout flow with test payments before launching
